Although it brings light to darkness
The flickering light still casts shadows
No way is without trauma
We do not learn the dangers of fire
Until its heat licks our skin
This lick causes the physical trauma
The boil. The blister.
Liquid protection from the body.
It tempering the heat with liquid
Water
The body remembering its own inner wisdom
It is coded to do this
Temperance and wisdom is in the bones
It can take trauma to unlock
this marrow kept knowledge
Sometimes the way is shown
By a shock prevented path
Pain is a teacher
Pain brings light to darkness
Like a neurone based flame
The flame tempers light and darkness
Always dancing
Always moving
Always illuminating
Always warming
This warming unlocks the memories
Held in frozen water
Ice
The unlocking brings growth
Expansion
Water sustains, nourishes, carries
Fire can be harnessed
In the perfect dance of both
- steam
When you temper
Instinct, desire, pain animalistic
With
Emotion, memory, intuition, feeling
You bring forth
The human experience
You gain the life's wisdom
You can crack open the bones
You gain the innate human knowing.
